The full label

What this site keeps

The same thing a label sewn into a seam does: says what it is made of, and how it is handled. What the site records, and what you agree to when you order — every line checkable against the site itself.

Composition

If you allow it, Google Analytics records which pages are opened, which pieces are looked at, which age band is chosen, and when someone taps through to WhatsApp. That is the whole list. It tells us which pieces to cut more of and which sizes to keep ready — questions an atelier this small cannot answer any other way.

If you don’t, none of it is stored. The analytics tag loads with storage switched off, so no cookie is written and nothing is kept between visits. That is set before the tag runs, not after you answer.

Two small things are remembered in your own browser either way, and never sent anywhere: the last few pieces you viewed, so the site can show them again, and your answer to the question above, so you are not asked twice.

What never happens

Nothing is sold, rented or shared for advertising. There is no advertising on this site and no remarketing anywhere else. We do not build profiles, we do not know who you are, and we have no way to connect a visit to a person.

No form on this site sends anything to us. The measurement page and every enquiry button write a message and hand it to WhatsApp on your own device. Nothing is submitted, because there is nowhere here to submit it to — this is a set of files, not an application with a database behind it.

When you message us

The conversation is on WhatsApp, which is Meta’s, and their terms cover it. What reaches us is what you chose to send: the piece, the size, sometimes a colour or a set of measurements.

We keep those messages while your order is being made and for as long afterwards as we may need them — a remake, an alteration, a second piece for the same child. Ask us to delete a conversation and we will.

About your child

Ordering to your own measurements means sending a child’s name and body measurements. We ask for the name only so the pattern and the parcel can be labelled, and we would rather have a first name than a full one.

That information is typed by you, into WhatsApp, by a parent or guardian. It never touches this website — the page composes the message and nothing more. We never use anything about a child for tracking, profiling or advertising, and there is no circumstance in which we would.

Changing your mind

You haven't answered yet — the label will appear as you browse. You can change that whenever you like, and nothing else on the site behaves differently either way.

Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes both stored items and has the same effect.

Part two

Ordering, paying, returning

Every piece is cut after it is ordered, which is what makes the terms below read the way they do. They are the same eight set out on our story, repeated here so the small print sits in one place.

Made to order, in small numbers
Nothing is held in stock. Your piece is cut and finished after you order it, in our own atelier in Surat.
Size is confirmed before we cut
Tell us your child's age and height and we'll advise. We confirm the sizing with you before production begins — never after.
Colour, where the fabric allows
Some fabrics can be made in another colour and some cannot. We'll tell you honestly which applies to the piece you want, before you pay.
Payment in full, by UPI
Orders are confirmed with full advance payment. We don't offer cash on delivery — a made-to-order piece is begun the moment you confirm.
Shipping is included
The price you're quoted is the price you pay, inclusive of taxes and delivery anywhere in India. Nothing is added at the end.
Usually 10–12 days to dispatch
Counted from the day sizing is confirmed. Tell us the date you need it for and we'll be honest about whether we can meet it.
You see it before it leaves
We send a video of your piece being packed, and share tracking once it's on its way.
No returns on made-to-order
Because each piece is cut to a size you confirmed, it can't be returned or exchanged. This is why we take sizing slowly at the start.

If something is wrong

A piece that reaches you damaged, or that isn’t what was confirmed, is not a return — it is our mistake. Message us on WhatsApp the day it arrives, with a photograph, and we will sort it out between us.

Anything decided here is decided in Surat, Gujarat, under Indian law. There is no company behind this and no department to escalate to: it is Charmi and Utsav, and the number below is theirs.

Asking us anything

A question about any of this, or a request to delete something, goes to the same place everything else does.
